Here are some pictures taken during the first half of 2009.  Be sure to click on any links you see.

Halloween?  Nope, it's Medusa & Hades at the Greek Mythology Ball at the Blue Knights Inauguration in Bangor, ME in January.

Ann & Mr. Fabulous (...good Canadian friend Jerry White) at the Blue Knights Northeast Spring Conference in East Wilton, ME in May.  Jerry sure knows how to make an entrance, eh?

I was a wee bit remiss in my duties and previously forgot to mention that Ann took a trip to Jamaica (Montego Bay) for her birthday (...and in conjunction with PartyLite) in May.  So....

Here's Ann at....    A Jamaican bar!    OOOoooohhhhhh.......     :-)
Bar Annie!

Of course, while she was there she HAD to swing by the local Harley-Davidson shop.

What a fantastic view....
OOOhhhhh......

Getting seranades every day isn't such a bad thing, either....

And, of course, if you're there you just HAVE to swing by and see Jimmy Buffet.

Ann's tour guides for the area.  I understand one of them wanted to marry her....    :-)

In mid-June Renee hopped on the bike with Dad and made almost a week long trip up through New Brunswick & Nova Scotia, Canada.

Here's Renee and the trusty Harley at the Pine Cone Motel in Penobsquis, NB.  Having been there since 1957, it's one of those little pieces of Americana that I always enjoy stopping at.
Renee & Her Trusty Steed

Then it was on to Alma, NB, home of the world's largest tides.  I wish I had a picutre of the roads we had to go over to get there - Someone forgot to tell us that they'd totally torn up Fundy National Park.....
We're HERE!

ET, phone home.....    :-)    Here we are at the world famous Hopewell Rocks.  It was a GREAT way to spend the afternoon and is HIGHLY recommended, if you're ever in the area.  We stayed at the Hopewell Rocks Motel, right next door.
ET, phone home....

The arch, which is under water at high tide.  Yeah, we're talking 35-45 foot tides here....

Renee crossing the line - Quite literally.....
Crossing The Line

The rocks have to be seen in person to really be appreciated.
BIG ROCKS!

Dad & Renee just hangin' out....
Hangin' Out

Renee sits in a bore hole that would be totally under water at high tide.
I'm In A Hole!

Mike crawls through and says, "TAH DAH!"    :-)
TAH DAH!

The tide REALLY goes out in this neck of the woods!  And this is acutally after it's already started to come back in.  The edge of the tide can be seen to the left.  The "ditch" you see in the middle is actually a river cutting through the mud from the right to the left and heading out to sea.  If you look to the right way in the distance, you can see two people who were walking ahead of us, just to give you some perspective.
Decent Tide

At the completion of our 20 mile hike (...okay, maybe it was only 5 miles), we finally saw a moose!  Just HAD to take this picutre to prove it....
MOOSE!

After a couple of days, we finally made it into Nova Scotia.  The nice lady at the lighthouse said I could drive right up to the sign.  HONEST!  Besides, I didn't see any signs saying I *couldn't*.....    ;-)
Welcome To Nova Scotia

Renee poses with the world's largest blueberry in the Blueberry Capital of Canada - Oxford, NS.

Here's the view we had from the Moutnain Gap Inn in Smith's Cove, NS, where we stayed for 3 days.  Nice tides here, too - This is about 2/3 of the way out.  The opening you see in the distance to the left is the only way out of the basin.
What A View....

We're on The Princess of Acadia ferry (...I called it our small cruise ship) heading out of the basin on our way to St. John, NB and then continuing on home from there.  Despite the dismal looking skies, we managed to stay dry all the way down to York, ME.  We won't talk about the weather after that....    ;-)
